The tagline reads ‘Maa kasam filmy hai” and it is indeed.
Starting from the ambience, the seating , the thrones like chairs, the huge
sheeshas and filmy dialogue posters adorning the walls to the amazing Bollywood
music.
They have a variety of seating areas according to the mood
of the group. They also have TV screen so I’m sure it helps when an imp match
is on!
To kickstart the
evening, the drinks and hookahs were ordered. Paan and brainfreeze hookah were
good, but were somehow not lasting too long, maybe as the size of the sheesha
was small. I suggest Ak47 as that was pretty tall and people seemed happy about
it.
Aam panna mocktail is spicy and refreshing, but not for
someone who doesn’t like bloody mary flavours!
Liit is standard and served in a tall beaker similar to
social offline. It was nice and not too sour or bitter.
Let’s move on to the food order –
Chicken tikka and Paneer tikka – both are delicious and
served on a small seekh stand. Very interesting presentation.
Grilled Fish was delicate and well cooked. Lemon butter
sauce was yumm.
Chicken kali Mirch was my favorite with a white sauce
similar to malai tikka marination.
Veg Pizza was thin crust with good toppings and a lot of
cheese.
Tandoori Mushrooms looked good, were soft with a lot of
marinade and cooked to perfection.
Another favorite in the veg was Achari paneer, very tender pieces
of paneer coated in mango pickle spices. Perfect for a taste changer.
There was another dish where they served spicy chicken
pieces wrapped in a tin foil, im forgetting the name, but it was completely
avoidable. Spicy and difficult to put into the plates and eat!
The main course ha Daal makhani, dum Aloo and chicken
lababdar. Of all these, chicken lababdar was delicious and very creamy yet with
the right amount of spices.
Throughout the evening, the music was peppy with never a
dull moment.
The only drawback was that service was a little slow, I can
surely give them 5 if they improve on that soon.
Other than that a good fun place to enjoy with friends.
