Eggless Microwave Chocolate Cake |
Quick Eggless Microwave Chocolate Cake
This
recipe was invented when I purchased my microwave. All the recipes I knew of,
or read were mostly of using convection modes and took hours. I kept wondering
if I have a microwave, I'm supposed to get my cake real fast…! That’s when I
saw a microwave cake dish on masterchef. They used some aeration devices and
made really thin slices of cake to use as decoration for the actual dessert. So
I tried recreating it in a simpler manner with usual ingredients, and tadaaaa
here’s your quick easy answer to cake when you get guests unannounced at
teatime.
Preparation Time 10 mins
Cooking Time 7 mins
Ingredients
Dark Chocolate 100 gms
Unsalted Butter 1 cup
Maida/Flour 1.3 cups
Baking powder 1 tsp
Baking soda 1 tsp
Powdered Sugar 1 ¼ cup
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Milk ¾ cup
Walnuts ½ cup
Recipe
- Grate the chocolate and bring to room temperature.
- Cut the butter into cubes.
- Grease a baking tin.
- Melt the butter and chocolate in a twin boiler. Mix well.
- Into this mixture, sift flour, baking powder and baking soda.
- Add sugar and vanilla essence and whisk well. Add milk to adjust consistency.
- Fold in the walnuts. Pour in the baking tin.
- Bake in the microwave on Microwave mode for 7 mins on HIGH (750-800Watts)
- Demould and serve with tea or with ice cream and chocolate sauce!
