Healthy Coleslaw Sandwich

Coleslaw Sandwich

A simple quick healthy sandwich. It's a type of a cold sandwich so you can always make it in bulk and wrap in cling film when leaving for a road trip or a picnic :) No need of ketchup or any chutney with this!
Just don't pack too many together. Pack each sandwich separately else they can get soggy.

Serves - 3 to 4
Preparation Time - 15 mins


A Small Cabbage - Half
Carrots - 2
Brown Bread
Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp (with or without egg)
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Salt - a pinch

  • Cut very thin and fine shreds of cabbage.
  • Slice the carrots Julianne or in a shredder.
  • In a cup, dissolve the sugar in the vinegar.
  • Add a pinch of salt to it.
  • Now add this vinegar to the mayonnaise, and fold in with soft hands. Don't whisk too fast.
  • In a bowl, mix this mayo mixture with the cabbage and carrot shreds.
  • Toss in lightly. Your coleslaw is ready!
  • Now take a slice of bread and spread the coleslaw mixture evenly. Cover with another slice. Cut the sides of the bread off.
  • Now cut diagonally in half, and serve with ketchup or just like that!
