Chocochip Cookies

Chocochip cookies
Serves : 4 people for a week!
Preparation Time = 30 mins
Cooking time = 10 mins

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar(if not available then use ½ cup white sugar)
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour (Maida)
1 teaspoon baking soda (or baking powder)
2 teaspoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (Dark or white)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. You can also use a blender for this.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. (This is done to avoid incomplete mixing of the soda)
  5. Add to batter along with salt.
  6. Stir in flour and fold in the chocolate chips. Refrigerate for 10 mins.
  7. Grease the baking tray.
  8. Drop by large spoonfuls onto greased pans atleast 2 inches away.
  9. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
  • Don’t overcook otherwise cookies will not be chewy and will get crisp like biscuits.
  • For lesser number of cookies, you can reduce the quantities of ingredients but keep them in same ratio.
  • Also,in Whirlpool convection ovens, there is a crisp option. At the end of 9 mins, you can put on crisp for 1-2 mins to get the bottom crispier!
